Assisted Application For Premises, Carry, And Carry Business

The application is the work. We do the work with you, from intake to investigator interview, so your file gets approved the first time.

What is included

  • Initial background audit. We pull together what we need to know about your history and flag anything that could affect the file before you submit.
  • License type recommendation. Premises, Concealed Carry, Carry Business, or one of the narrower categories. We help you choose the one that actually fits.
  • Document collection and review. IDs, lease/deed, references, disposition letters, supporting employer letters. Everything aligned and consistent.
  • Character reference preparation. We talk to your references so they know what to expect and what makes a useful response.
  • Application drafting. The actual NYPD forms or county forms, completed accurately the first time.
  • Fingerprinting coordination. We make sure your fingerprint code is correct and your appointment is booked at the right place with the right ID.
  • Interview prep. A walk-through of likely questions, a review of your application, and a clear sense of what to bring.
  • Investigator follow-through. If your investigator goes quiet or asks for additional documents, we manage that on your behalf.

Who this is for

This is the right service if your file has any complexity, or if you simply want it handled. Examples we see most often:

  • Prior arrests or convictions, even old or sealed.
  • Non-citizen applicants (lawful permanent residents).
  • Out-of-state license holders moving to NY.
  • Recent address changes or undocumented residency.
  • People who simply do not want to spend 20+ hours on the paperwork.

How long it takes

Once we have your initial documents, we can typically have a polished file ready for submission within two to four weeks. NYPD processing then runs 9 to 18 months depending on the license type. Faster files happen. Slower files happen. We push as hard as is appropriate, never harder than that.

What it costs

Pricing is based on complexity. We are transparent on the first call. The math usually works for clients because their alternative is 20+ hours of their own time plus the risk of a delay or denial. We will tell you honestly if you do not need us, too. Many applicants with clean files do not.

FAQ

Do you guarantee approval?

No. Nobody honest does. The License Division has discretion. What we can do is identify the issues that cause denials and address them before submission, which dramatically reduces the risk.

I have a prior arrest. Can you still help?

In many cases yes. Disclosure with a clean letter of disposition and a calm, factual narrative is much better than silence. We have walked applicants through this many times.

How is this different from a lawyer?

We are consultants, not lawyers. We help with the file, the references, the interview, and the follow-through. If your situation requires litigation (Article 78 after a denial, for example) we will refer you to an attorney we trust.

Do you handle Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk?

Yes. The unit varies but the underlying work is similar. We handle all five boroughs and the surrounding counties.
